Program Director

Dr. Daniel De Falcis

Dr. Daniel De Falcis is the stroke program director at Helen M. Simpson Rehabilitation Hospital. In this role, he designs interdisciplinary care plans and manages resources that aid in patients’ physical and cognitive recoveries. Dr. De Falcis oversees and directs medical, nursing and multi-therapy services, and is dedicated to ensuring maximum improvement and goal attainment.

Board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and pain medicine, Dr. De Falcis also serves as the director of the UPMC Chronic Pain Management Program.

In his private practice, Dr. De Falcis treats a variety of musculoskeletal, neurologic and spasticity issues. He also cares for patients with chronic pain issues, increasing quality of life.

He received a medical degree from The Pennsylvania College of Medicine. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine and conducted undergraduate studies at Villanova University.

He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Association of Academic Physiatrists, a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Medical Group of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Pain Society.
