Brett McChesney, CEO

Brett McChesney, MHA, RRT, is the chief executive officer for Helen M. Simpson Rehabilitation Hospital. He provides administrative governance management to the hospital and ensures the continued operation of patient services.

Brett has over 20 years of health care experience, including senior management positions for multiple national hospital systems. During his career, Brett served one year as a chief operating officer, thirteen years in rehabilitation quality management and ten years as a registered respiratory therapist in various healthcare settings, including rehabilitation, acute care, skilled nursing and critical illness recovery.

Brett graduated from Purdue University with a master's degree in healthcare administration, Juniata College with a bachelor's degree in psychology, and Harrisburg Area Community College with an associate degree in respiratory therapy.

He belongs to the Pennsylvania Hospital Association, the American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association, the National Board for Respiratory Care, and the Pennsylvania Society for Respiratory Care. As a senior member, Brett served on HACC's advisory board and previously taught its critical care curriculum.
